Welcome to this new web site, devoted entirely to photographic visualisation techniques for making the invisible visible. This includes events that are too slow or too fast for the eye to perceive, or subjects that are visible outside the normal human spectrum. The techniques include infrared, ultraviolet, fluorescence, polarisation, high speed and time-lapse. The main aim is to stimulate an interest in the subject, and show how the techniques can be carried out with a minimum of special equipment. Eventually, I hope to include some tutorials on the various techniques.

The site has been put together using some of the images from my forthcoming book (Digital Ultraviolet and Infrared Photography) to be published by Focal Press later this year.

This is my second web site. My main site: Adrian Davies Imaging contains examples of all my other wildlife and natural history work. Click here to go there.
