about

Adrian Davies with Nepenthes rajah in Borneo
Welcome to this new web site, devoted entirely to photographic visualisation techniques for making the invisible visible, including infrared, ultraviolet, fluorescence, polarisation, high speed and time-lapse imaging. The main aim is to stimulate an interest in the subject, and show how the techniques can be carried out with a minimum of special equipment. Eventually, I hope to include some tutorials on the various techniques.

I am a natural history and scientific photographer, teacher and author, with over 30 years experience. I regularly offer various courses and workshops. See the "workshops" tab for further details.

The site has been put together using some of the images from my books (Digital Ultraviolet and Infrared Photography) published by Focal Press in November 2017, and my newly published book: "Photographing the Unseen World" by The Crowood Press.

This is my second web site. My main site: Adrian Davies Imaging contains examples of all my other wildlife and natural history work. Click here to go there.
